Not too keen.......

I''ve been busy making something for myself after finishing my 'secret' projects.

I'm not too keen on certain parts of this topper but I look at it as a lesson learnt and will study the pattern better before cutting into fabric next time.

There was alot of pieces (for me a first) but I find it fantastic how it all comes together.

No for my artistic pic....

My azaleas have looked stunning the last few weeks but with the sudden heat have wilted some.

Next on my list, is to try my hand at machine applique on some baby bibs.

Secret sewing or is it?

I have been busy sewing for a swap and I wonder whether it has to be secret. The recipient of my gift is a 'stranger' blogger. She doesn't know I'm sewing for her and in fact I don't know whether she will even visit my ramblings.   Is it secret sewing??.....

I have been visiting lots of blogger sites. Such inspirational work!

I can show the fabric parcel the postman has brought ...

Baby, Baby, Baby.....

I

In between working and suffering with a 'love acquired' cold, I have been sewing for our grandie that is due in January.

The pants do look a bit big for a newborn but we will wait and see and the elastic can always be taken in.
Of course the 4year old wanted to know what I would be sewing for her. That is next on the agenda.
There are so many lovelies that can be bought for babies that are rather cheap, that sewing is becoming old fashioned, dont you think. Still Im happy and so is my DIL.

Finished one secret sewing and onto another this week. Im finding it difficult to decide what to make but have bought some French General material that was 50% off which I will use.

Enjoy your week! Sharyn:)

Lots of fabric .....

Buying, that is.
There is a lovely fabric shop in a suburb not too far from my home. Limited patchwork fabrics, actually limited every type of fabric but lots of different types of fabric. You know what I mean, stretch, cotton, satins, silks, flannelette. Plus lots of lace, ribbon and fancy edging, flowers and lots of buttons. Now imagine a very small shop, I mean small, and crammed pack with all these beauties. I visited this emporium today with my gd to buy fabrics for our expectant gd and came away with a mixture of all of the above. I especially like the man who owns the shop and how he measures the fabric with a stick measuring a metre. This is what I purchased. Lots of baby sewing on the agenda.

During our grandies sleepover we have added to our veggie patch. Hopefully lots of fresh vegies for summer.

Hopefully I'll get to finish a mini I've been working on, on the weekend. Have a good weekend! Sharyn:)
