Nature is certainly throwing curve balls at the moment. Thank goodness for the RFS!
We had a lovely 10 days with friends and our granddaughter in Tuncurry and Nelsons Bay.
Whales and dolphins were spotted, copious amounts of food (cake, mmmm) and lots of laughter.
Then hot, extremely windy weather began on our last day away. With it came the bush fires. We are lucky to have got home after the fire was contained on Monday.
Thursday brought the hot, windy conditions again which resulted in my son and his family being evacuated from their home and thankfully they had us to come to. Poor Pregnant DIL was caught up in a bush fire emergency on her way home from work which scared the you know what out of her. They have returned home but are still on alert and thankfully with no damage to their home.
Unfortunately the same cant be said for many families and my best wishes go to them.
View from the front of sons' home. Too close for comfort!

It's pretty bad at the moment... we drove thru some burnt areas and are thankful that it's not close to us too. Feel very sad for those that have lost their homes... now we are praying for rain ! :)
Dreadful fires so early in the season. Glad your family is safe.
